The Master Scheduler is the link between customer service, manufacturing, engineering, distribution, and purchasing. The Master Scheduler provides a plan to manufacturing specific items within a given period of time.
You will be responsible for product scheduling, coordinating entire plant schedule conflicts and formulating recovery schedules. You will be responsible for planning divisional materials and providing support to Operations Planning for all of their activities. These additional duties include; supply vs. demand analysis for primary and alternate material, inventory management; interfacing with other departments; assisting in special projects/reporting; and helping with forecast analysis, alerts and development.
The successful candidate for this position must be a highly motivated individual, with a strong ability to communicate with all aspects of management.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following areas:
•Proven experience planning and scheduling functions involved with coordinating products and materials through manufacturing processes to completion
•Experience with Forecast analysis, forecast consumption models, and Available To Promise logic
•Experience with inventory target level and positioning analysis
•The ability to ensure timely and accurate coordination of materials and resources to meet the Master Production Schedule by interacting with third party contractors.
•Proven timely and precise organizational skills and strong multi-tasking abilities
•The ability to work independently
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Experience with Advanced planning modules
•Excellent computer knowledge (Excel, Word, and SAP).
•Operations metrics and reporting.
Qualifications
Successful candidates for this position will have:
Bachelor’s degree or similar with a min of 3 yrs scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent work experience.
Requires solid math and analytical skills
SAP systems experience - NOT NEGOTIABLE _ NO SAP NO INTERVIEW
Very good verbal and written communications skills
Lean and or Six Sigma background would be advantageous
Self-Starter
Strong orientation toward customer service
Ability to lead, contribute and influence others in a team-based organization
