Commercial Insurance Advisor / Relationship Manager

The hunt is on for a NEW Corporate and Commercial Insurance Business Advisor / Relationship Manager to perform a proactive, mobile, value adding financial partnership role in the commercial market, ensuring that continual close personal attention is given to providing a comprehensive array of customised Insurance solutions tailored to meet customer needs in terms of business growth and potential

KPA’s:

Establish and maintain a professional relationship with all stakeholders, excisting clients and future clients
Meet sales and /or growth targets
Manage own adviser practice
To attend all relevant training to attain the required accreditation to market the various products
Minimum requirements for this position

Relevant business related tertiary qualification e.g. Commercial degree/qualification is an advantage
Undergraduate degree, or similar [majors in Risk, Finance, Insurance an advantage] and/or Postgraduate or professional qualifications in risk and relevant experience an advantage
Must have passed the FAIS exams min 60 credits → Qualifications and experience as determined by the “Fit and Proper Requirements” of the FAIS legislation.
Good knowledge of general insurance practices and procedures.
A good knowledge of the principles and practices of business economics and the current business economic environment.
A good knowledge of competitor offerings and structures.
A good working knowledge of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) and the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA).
A sound working knowledge of commercial and short term insurance sales principles and practices to manage and optimise portfolio retention and growth.
Negotiation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good working knowledge of technical portfolio management systems
Must be FAIS complaint (RE5)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
At least 60 FAIS credits (commercial and industrial) at NQF level 4
One (1) year experience in the short term insurance industry
Own reliable transport is essential
No criminal record
Membership of a relevant professional association
Sales experience in the financial services industry
